❄️ February 2025 Newsletter: Embracing Winter’s Wisdom: Honoring Stillness, Connection, and Sacred Beginnings
Seneko Kakona, Taino Woods Sanctuary Familia!
As we move through February, the heart of Winter continues to teach us stillness, reflection, and the beauty of nurturing what lies beneath the surface. Just as Yoka Hu remains in the womb of Atabeyra, gathering strength for his arrival in Spring, we too are gifted this time to rest, recalibrate, and prepare for the seasons of growth ahead.
We are filled with gratitude for your presence and commitment to our sacred community. Whether through ceremonies, gatherings, or quiet moments of reflection, each of you contributes to the healing energy that Taino Woods Sanctuary carries forward into the world. Let us journey together through this sacred season and continue weaving connections with ourselves, each other, and the Land.

Seasonal Focus: Winter’s Teachings
Winter is a time of introspection and deep connection with the cycles of Atabeyra. It is a season to turn inward, nurture the seeds of intention planted in the heart, and trust in the natural rhythm of growth and renewal.
We invite you to embrace these self and community practices during Winter:
🌙 Self-Practice: Set aside a few moments each day to pause and breathe deeply, reconnecting with your inner self. Reflect on what you are nurturing in your life and what may need to rest.
🌟 Community Practice: Take a moment to reach out to someone in your community, offering a kind word, shared prayer, or simply the warmth of connection.
🌿 Land Practice: Spend time in Nature, even if it is simply standing outside or observing through a window. Let the stillness of Mother Earth remind you of the quiet strength within.
As we honor Winter, we also hold the energy of Yoka Hu close to our hearts, knowing that the seeds of his energy will soon awaken with Spring on March 20th. May this time of rest prepare us for the renewal to come.
Congratulations to Our Giveaway Winner!
🌟 Sacred Journey Giveaway Winner Announcement 🌟
We are delighted to announce that our Sacred Journey Giveaway Winner has been chosen! Congratulations to Tay V. for winning a private Purification Lodge or Plant Medicine Ceremony for themselves and three guests, along with a two-night, three-day stay at Taino Woods Sanctuary.
Thank you to everyone who supported Taino Woods by becoming members last year. Your contributions are vital to the sanctuary’s growth and help us continue creating sacred spaces for connection and healing.
Acknowledgment of Moondancers
This February 9th through the 13th, we honor and hold in prayer the Moondancers who will be dancing in Costa Rica. These incredible women are walking a sacred path of purification, prayer, and connection to All Relations. Through their dances, songs, and ceremonies, they are bringing healing and blessings to our Atabeyra and all her beings.
Let us join our hearts in gratitude for their commitment to this transformative journey and send our love to their sacred circle. Consider holding your own prayer or intention for the Moondancers during this time.
